Our History
In 2010, CANCERNAV® was developed by Cleveland Clinic Innovations as a navigation tool used for the management of at-risk populations from the surrounding underserved community. CANCERNAV® was utilized to ensure appropriate patients remained engaged with prevention, screening and health education and those with suspicious findings were not lost to follow-up.

In 2016, CANCERNAV® was enhanced to improve access to care and was piloted in the Breast, Lung, Colorectal, Head & Neck and Melanoma Cancer Programs. Immediately demonstrating impact, 5 additional disease groups were added within the next 6 to 9 months (Upper G, Lymphoma, Melanoma, GYN Oncolgy and Sarcoma). In addition to the disease-specific programs, patient navigator teams from the Cancer Call Center (referral hub), Financial Navigation and Community Outreach continue to use CANCERNAV® to support proactive management of all patients who receive cancer care at the Cleveland Clinic.
In 2022, Healthcare Navigation Solutions was formed as a spinoff company of Cleveland Clinic Innovations and has worked diligently to enhance the CANCERNAV® solution to ensure a user-friendly, hands-on experience, focusing on efficient navigator-specific workflow and ensuring compliance with current national clinical, navigation and accreditation standards.
